The only way to know for sure is to open the diff. One of the first things I did when I got my '68 was to open the rear diff, empty the unknown oil and pull the axles to clean the tubes. There was a ton of sediment in the axle tubes. Then and only then did I know what I was dealing with. I had to re...

I just went out and looked. I didn't see any hole in the firewall. The box hangs down to just above the bright switch. I may have filled the hole when I did my frame off. I know I filled a few holes in that area as I converted from a manual to an automatic. I don't remember it has been awhile since ...

I have my money on the rear fuel filters. The scenario plays out to be something as simple as the fuel filters. Sure the fuel pickup could have failed but that is more unlikely though not impossible I guess. A couple of bucks for two new filters and I bet you are back on the road.

I don't remember sealing the hole, I'll check next time I have the cover off. I used some kind of silicon that seams to have worked prefect.

I've got one installed. Works for what it is for. Haven't used it in a few years. It doesn't leak rain water or anything. I tend to forget what's in it.

It was from a GoPro 2. I'm not sure what happened to the footage of arriving at the gas station. The "merge" is on that clip I think. It is going by pretty fast. She was behind on my quarter panel so all you see is a slight wiggle of the road. I'm still playing with the videos. I caught 4 hours or m...

OK, after messages with BroncoDave we are aiming to be at Rogers Camp at 9:30 am. We will be at the North Plains McDonalds around 8:30 or so. To help determine the timing we should be leaving Vancouver Just after 8 am (8 to 8:15 am). We will be stopping for off highway permits on the way up. Does an...

The aux tank is there and there is no space to run it up and over the Atlas. Right now the pipe drops down and then around the Atlas. I've lost some ground clearance there. I'll have to watch it on the trails. I'm stuck with the mufflers I have. I'm hoping early spring I can change my exhaust setup....

Dart based 454!!! Damn, where are the videos! Is that an EB that has the 454? I need to go to a two-into-one setup. I couldn't hold 5k on the road except in OD. This would put me well above 100 mph. What would that info tell me? I could attempt a second gear 5k pull but I couldn't hold it on the street, at least I wouldn't think so.

I hit 4k, quickly, once or twice on my street and the cops showed up.

Re: looking for advice

I just started my bronco project with a pretty rust free and machanicly sound 75. And was looking into the first of several upgrades. First power brake conversion kit and a power steering conversion kit. Is it worth it with stock drums or a waste of time? Also I was just planning on moving the shif...
