I have a pretty light target rack but the entire stand area was hit by a tree and smashed. I need to rebuild it.

New Room

Well, Matthew moved out and I've begun to turn his room into my own office cave. So great to have a space again that isn't the living room! The Bronco is in total tear down and I'm waiting to get yet another Tcase since the one I just disassembled for the Eco Box doubler wasn't the correct year. Sta...

Re: east side Portland Alignment Shop Recommendations

We seem to waste the track bar bushings pretty regularly so a spare set on the shelf makes the jiggly wiggly go away pretty fast.

Re: Aftermarket remanufactured tub doors hood and tailgate

Yeah, a shop behind where I used to work restored a Bronco from the ground up and the new seals didn't fit so they sliced them to fit flatter but that didn't work either so the threw the seals away before I could snag them. Not sure where the change is but sometimes the Bronco just don't want to loo...

If you're not restoring it yourself, I'd tell you the cheaper way would be to buy one finished. Unless you know EXACTLY what you want in a finished Bronco, go with one done. Having someone somewhere build you something you visualize can be a nightmare for both you and the builder.

As an aside to my own oil changes. I use diesel grade oil in everything. Mostly because I want one grade of oil stacked in my garage.
But I am not one to follow the lead on this as my Bronco gets less than regular oil changes. (Sometimes more than a year apart)

We've been using 5-30 for what the motor originally required. And the higher end filter doesn't hurt either

What a strong looking Bronco to start with.
What do you want when you are finished?
What kind of funds are available?
Can you handle it being down for long periods of time or are you going to drive it during the build?

It makes a difference on how you rebuild it

Do the lights in the dash cluster come on steady burn, or at all? If a bulb is out at either end of the truck, it won't flash even a new flasher unit. check the sockets to see if they are getting power.

A little angry today

I've been watching a Bronco get eaten by trees for about 10 years. Tried to buy it a couple times. I even threw out the stupid over price. Now I hear it's been pulled out and is gone! I highly doubt this person is fixing it themselves because to see the upkeep of the property and vehicles, unless he...

I'd take the dipstick tube & clean it up really well as well as the hole it came out of, try and work the tube out a little larger to fit more snug, OR- mix me up a little JBweld and wrap the end really lightly & stuff it back together. Might work might not. The driving thing has come down to a few ...

Ground. Remove the ground on the engine, clean it and if possible, replace the cable to ensure that the ends are good. I use Corrosion X HD on as many connections as possible.
