Re: The gun thread

Did you find anything Shawn? I’ve had the target model mini 14 since it came out like 20 years ago. The one with the laminated thumb hole stock and heavy barrel with “balancer”. Years ago I tried mounting a scope, but the signature abusive action is too violent to keep a scope honest. I might dig t...

I have a new windshield frame to install... when I get around to that project, i can cut the glass out of the old frame and give you its measurement.

Re: The gun thread

That would be a great rifle, not only a Weatherby but in .308. I think the 308 is the best all around caliber. I have had two 308s, a Savage 99 and a Ruger M77 International, loved them both... Lesson learned (also miss my Colt Combat Commander in .38 Super :( ), never sell a firearm :guns: I am thi...

The gun thread

I know a few of you are gun guys. What are some of your newer toys? My newest is a Ruger Mini 14 in 300 blackout. Trying to decide on an optic for it. Primary Arms has a 1-6 that I am really interested in, anyone have any experience with their stuff?

Re: 302 Timing Marks

If you get #1 cylinder piston on top-dead-center, you can put a mark on your crank pulley. You may be a few degrees off, but it would be a good starting point.

Good luck

never mind, listen to Stan ;)

Hey Stan... Yes and Yes, so can other stuff... but its easy to diagnose properly if you have the right tools. A 'circuit tester' will not put a load on the system... your volt meter may say everything is good, but if you run a load on it, poor connections or an 'open' may pop up as a result an inoperative lamp. If you ohm test the headlamp itself, is there continuity between the terminals of the bulb (when ...
