Well i was off by 1" what I think happen was i got a pic from JBGY an i setup the arm just like the pic that may have thrown me off my fault for not asking first and drilling later i cut the passengers arm and shorting it a 1" it goes around but not smooth I'll get it sooner or later thanks for the ...

Stan the wiper is factory from a EB. Shawn thanks for the pic's I'll measure mine see if it's the same i hope it is. if not I may be in trouble as i may be only a 1/2 " off and that's going to make it hard to drill another hole maybe looking for a new windshield! thanks for the help I'll let you kno...

well the way I'm looking at it is if i put it in a way that the driver-side is all the way to the left (wiper would be horizontal) then the motor arm should be at 9:00( that being all the way to the left)now if i connect the two together were the motor lies that's were i should bolt it to the frame....

i don't have a drop down bracket yet as i'm trying to find some hardware for my old ratty kayline top.as far as moving the arm it moves find without the motor it's just when i hook the motor up it binds on the driver side i may have drilled the passengers side in the wrong spot if so it's only a mat...

now that i got it all setup i thought,when i turn it on it jams.this is what i did put the driver side in the hole that had the vacuum motor and drilled a new hole for the passenger side now i connected the arm to the motor and put it at a 9:00 position then i secured the motor to the frame now when...

ya I should have done it that way would have saved me some money an less agg.sometime you just get tunnel vision on a project . should have got some insite before i started live and learn i guess :D

ya i didn't mine the vac's but i when to power steering so the vac pump had to go. now that i got it mounted the dam wiring harnness won't snake through the frame it stops were it hinges it's allways something!!!!

Ya I just ending up drilling a new hole. got it assembled now I just got to wire it up are theses two speed motors I'm asuming red is power black ground i forget the other two colors, but are theses hi/lo speeds

wiper up grade

does anybody know if the holes from a vacuum wiper setup,are farther apart then the electrical wiper setup ? After installing the connecting arm there's not enough play for them to swing. or am I doing something wrong?

i just installed a 75 steering colum in my 69 the connectors and wire color codes are not the same for turning signals, power,horn ect.can anybody tell me what goes to what on the 75 my chiltons book only goes up to 71 it's no help to me

when you switch over to a one wire alt.(gm) what do you do with the wiring from your voltage reg.do you just unplug it and dead end it or do you have to loop it back some how?

does anybody know if a steering colum from a 1975 f250 or one from a1978 f150 will fit a 69 I think I already ask this about a 85 colum and was told early 70's will work don't know if from 75 on the colum was changed that much.there both tilt steering

you may need to have it pressed out with a hyd press or a arbor press if you use a puller try some heat on the coller of the pulley when you get some tension on the pulley hit the jacking bolt on the puller with a hammer sometimes that will free it up be careful not to put to much tension on the pul...

just finishing up my wiring harnness.now want to get on with my PS. Was going to buy a new steering colum with autotrans/ power steering setup that will have to wait. Puting old 3 on the tree back in,will i need to change my steering shaft to fit my power steering box

if i'm installing the complete harnness, do need to follow the old wiring schematics or can i just go by the lables on the new harnness i know i my might need to ref it for ignition and light swtich does that sound right or i'm i just fooling myself :?

already checked it out .i'll sit on this and way it out unless i come across some xtra cash then i'll just buy an aftermarket one just got my wiring harnness today that will keep me busy for a while and give me time to think about it :roll:
