Got back from Iraq. I was able to mount up the Hanson bumper and swapped my winch cable for some rope.

Standing by in the garage for the project this week is the 23 gal EFI tank w/in-tank pump and some maintenance items since it has been sitting for a while.

Just me but single piece front ends that tilt forward seem cheap to me. Go with TC tub and then steel fenders, grill, etc. I think you will be happier in the end.

195 thermostat is too high for a carbed engine. 195 is best for EFI. Try running a 160-170 thermostat to bring the over all engine temps down.

Are you running a fan shroud?

I would look at fixing the temp issue before addressing the carb.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I am very satisfied with the EFI. I am switching to an in-tank system in the future. This is really the best way to go. Also note that my rear plate is a vintage 1970 NC tag that is legal in NC to drive with. You only have to keep the registered plate inside the vehicle. Thought it was a nice touch and the lettering is also close to the same color.

Finally got the Bronco painted. Local shop did a great job for a VERY fair price.

Color is GM Sunset Orange Metallic.

Still have some reassembly to do, trim the flares, install the vent windows, etc. Then get the interior Linex'd in a sand color.

EFI works well so far. Only issue that I have is that the external fuel pump does not have a valve to maintain the fuel pressure after you shut the engine off. The bottoms of them were rusted out so I cut them off about 1" below the bottom of the door. Plan to weld up some 2x6 rock skis to protect that area of the body. I will then trim the flares to match the rock skis.

It's your cage. I have the exact same seats. I am 6'2" and the top of the windshield is more of an obstruction than the cage.

No need to change your timing chain or cover, just the WP. If you put a Bronco WP on it, it will cover up the stock timing pointer. You actually have a roller motor as it is roller cam ready. Just get the roller cam you want. The spider, pushrods, dogbones, roller lifters should be stock Ford roller stuff.
