Truck is dead 85 efi

I have an 85 efi Bronco and have completly lost the power
to anything I have a new battery but ther is no power at the fuse panel
the fusable liks off the starter relay are good im at a loss to what could be the prob the previous owner tells me that the battery was once hooked up backwards can anybody help me

The voltage regulator usually smokes itself when the battery is hooked up backwards. You should have voltage at the starter solenoid, though, or your battery isn't supplying. If that's the case check for broken battery terminals, plastic caps still on the battery posts, good ground connection and power connection at starter solenoid for battery. Hope that helps.
