Tie rods, steering box, drag link, alignment.
What tires fit, brands, sizes, beadlocks, etc.

Excessive play in steering wheel??

Post by ctubbs78 » Mon Sep 12, 2011 5:15 am

I have a 68 Bronco and it has excessive play in the steering wheel. What do I need to do/check or where is the best place to buy a next steering box or get it rebuilt? Thanks-Caleb

Set someone inside the truck and run the wheel back and forth while you go underneath and push, pull, touch, and look at every part down there. There should be no slop anywhere, look at the trackbar as well. Also look at the input to the steering box compared to the output.
