Rick, can we somehow start the 2 trips at different intervals this year? Last year there were guys wanting a less dramatic run that ended up in line with your group at the last. I dont want out any later than 9:30. As the groups were ready last year, they seemed to stop again at the parking lot and ended up in a big wait again. My run will begin out by the registration booth and parade our butts straight out.

I plan to go up North Fork Trask River Rd and go from Gobblers Knob to Ginsberg Point, possibly do the hillclimb @ Ginsberg, then run back to the trail near Bobcat cutoff which takes us up to Hembre Ridge. then its up to those along for a choice, Head back to Trask Rd & the party, or go to (whats left of) Archers and run it as far as possible, take a detour to a couple of "other" trails, then hit Hwy 6 back to the party.

We will meet at the registration area at 9:00 AM Friday. We can stagger them out from there with my group taking the tail. My group will stop in the parking lot briefly while I load mine.

Would you consider your run moderate or more advanced?

Thanks. I had heard Hogsback was open but hadn't heard about Can Opener being open.

I provided a "situation" at work and I volunteered to be there on Monday (normally I have it off), so I definitely have Friday off.

Sounds good. With the current list it looks like it will be close to perfect for group numbers. We're set up for 4 leaders with 2 or 3 to run tail and about 6 people in each group. I have an awesome run planned out for my wild group I think as long as all of the trails check out next week.

Does anyone have a spare seat for Blue71 to ride in during the trail ride? He's flying in Thursday from TN.

I asked about trail closures by the end of the week and got good news:

""They are still open. If we go to an Industrial Fire Precaution Level 3
then they will be closed until we drop back down to a level 2. So far I
have not heard any indication that we will be moving to a level 3.

Randy""

Thanks for checking. I was going to call today but I've been pretty busy. I'll probably check in with them again Wednesday.

Just making a final check here before I leave. I'm headed out today and will be doing a prerun of some of the trails tomorrow. If you didn't make it on the list then be sure to check in with me ahead of time if you can to make sure we still have room. I don't see any problems at this point but it will help to know how many we have so we can split them up into groups. I'll be camped in the first parking area at Sand Lake. Look for either a BroncoCovers.com banner or for a Columbia River Bronco's banner and I'll be close.

For those that know my Bronco by sight it is primer gray right now so it may not be as easy to spot. Here is a picture of it now.

Going for the fun stuff. I'll be there with the rest of Columbia River Broncos!

Dash is full of holes, but the wiring is complete except for gauges. If it rains, I'll have to stop and plug in my wiper switch... :-)

I like PigPen's idea about leaving on time!!! There will be enough waiting around on the trail. Besides, we don't want to get back at midnight if there are a couple of "delays". :(

Sounds like a fun ride. Be good to put some names with sig lines!

See ya there
