Paint windshield hinge?

Post by meadowlarkmach » Sun Mar 02, 2014 8:58 pm

Excuse my ignorance, but I'm installing a stainless steel hinge. Don't know if the hinges were painted originally.
Thanks,

All the ones I've ever seen were body color. Not sure how they did it so clean, to where you could move the window up and down without the paint just flaking right off, but they did.
Always wondered about that!

I painted my windshield hinge and the when I put the fashion and bent it forward it fucked the paint up I was told that they had used one coat of paint and clear on bare metal so I tried that and still .....I think it was the type of paint they used back then ......so I tried smart trim black rattle can and not a single problem .......so if there's any black on ur bronco as accent colors I highly recommend it ......it dries fast and and very thin hope it helps
