Aloha- I have a 73 Bronco with a U153 code on plate. All the "vin decoders" I can find only go to U152. It also has a "Schrillo" power steering system, which Ive learned is a strange add-on. Living in Hawaii, its not easy to find parts, and usually pay 2x more for shipping than part cost!

I believe the "3" has something to do with the GVW rating.

U153 is a 4500 GVWR which is basically a light duty factory tow package: trailer hitch, springs and shock option.
U152 is 4900 GVWR and its the big bearing rear end
