Body panel quality
I live close enough to LMC truck to pick up parts.. The front fenders were good.
I bought lower 1/4 panels. They looked good when I picked them up, but when I went to install them I found out how bad they were. The top edge that is supposed to be straight had an "s" shape to it. A full quarter inch. The top edge and the back edge were out of square.
They are a real crap.
Does any supplier have better quality?

Well that sucks Ralph. Especially since you're able to save shipping on these rather sizeable parts too.
Do you think it was really the part's manufacture itself, or could it have been shipping and storage that got to an otherwise good part?
Either way, we have not had any complaints about that same thing on ours (can't say there have been no complaints, but can't remember any) but shipping could be a bummer.
On that note though, if we use Dynacorn quarter panels we could probably have them dropshipped from one of their warehouses nearer you and save over shipping directly from CA.
Might be worth a quick call anyway. I'm not in this week (at least not yet) but any of the guys can answer the shipping/dropshipping question and maybe even find out if we're using the same manufacturer that LMC is or not. Assuming that info is available.
Good luck no matter what you do. It's already a finicky job to get done cleanly. Not really something you'd want to start of using inferior parts on.

The passenger quarter panel is the bad one. It was not damaged in shipment, it was bad when it came out of the press. I guess this is more of a heads up to other members in the mokan area.
The drivers side looks a lot better.
Thanks for your response Paul. At this point I will try and make it what I have work.
Thanks again

Sounds good. Make sure to post up some pics when you're done. We like pics around here in general anyway, but whenever someone does one of the hard jobs to make their EB look really good, pics are even better!

Quarter panel
OK, with a lot of hammering I got the error down to an 1/8". The one thing that saved the day, was the fact that the lower panel is set a 1/4" in under the top panel. And after seam fill is applied, the straight edge of the top panel will hide any imperfections.
I have a pic if I can figure out how to send it.
Thanks

Re: Body panel quality
Try some National Parts Depot to find one that is still in good condition.
