Along these same lines, anybody ever tried to fix the header on the
passenger side before having the exhaust installed? Just wondered if you
could cut the end of the header off and tweek it to a better position?

What I did was cut the collector off of an extra header that I had , and
then just welded it to the collector angled back.. That way I didnt have to
worry about trying to make some funky miter, worked too well. I did it to
the original shorties off of my engine, so ceramic was no deal, but if you
had coated headers it wouldn't affect them.
