Here's the start of my new Luber. My old rig dosen't look like a Bronco anymore so I'm starting this one :D I found some old J**P military 16"x 5" steel wheels and found the 255/85/16 tires are a good fit. There will be 1" more of lift and some nice flex in the suspension with a wristed arm and maybe a reverse shackle in the rear. The Bronco is a nice rust free Cali rig I picked up for $1,500 last month.

Bare bones baby! :D

Image

Lifted only by 31" MTRs at the moment.
3.5 kit waiting in the wings, but I'm liking the no lift and 31" look right now. Rig was blue (almost Graber) originally. Might go back. We'll see what happens. It's a project that has been sapping all my time away from my main street/trail rig. Having a lot of fun with this one though.

Looks like that front quarter is gonna be close, huh? Those 15x7 wagon wheels? You know what backspacing?

I don't know the back spacing, but below are the pics, the front edge of the rear opening looks to be close if compressed....The blue paint is a PO thing....

I let my tires clearance the metal at fawl crawl, I will have to take pics before I cut, so you can see what is in the way. I am running 34"x9.5 swampers, and they bent a little metal out of their way that weekend. Pics after I wash off the mud....

Looks great! I'm adding an inch of body lift to a 3.5" lift to accommodate the efi guts that are going in mine. I don't really want to go that tall, but I think the 33's will fill the wheel wells a little better.

I am RE-LUB'ed. I bought this cut up in '94 and always wanted an uncut, so when I started restoring it, I un-circumcised it.

1" BL on in this pic right after leaving the paint booth. 2.5" SL coming and shooting for 265/70/17's.
