Even More SOB stuff

Post by TCheney » Wed May 03, 2006 11:37 pm

Here is the logo for this year's event! We are honoring the beater Bronco. They may not all be pretty, but like this year's event, they are all "10s" in the eyes of their owners....

....note... as of 5/31 you are seeing new art. I didn't like the other one... sorry! You can get the new version of the flyer by e-mail.

They were supposed to be available on order after SOB last year but somehow I missed it. Hopefully the magnet will be a little better this time around. My SOB 9 magnet fell off the dash and pretty much is ruined now. The magnet isn't strong enough to flatten it out against the dash.

I don't care about the magnets..........I just hope the sand isn't as dry this year as it has been............it get's everywhere! when it's dry.

Maybe John and them can do something about the ocean too.......it was way too salty last time and was always making noise.

The vendor just plain forgot to make the SOB8 dash plaques. I didn't get them done for last year, thinking that 9 people would want them (and I have to order 500 to meet the minimum). Boy was I wrong! Look for them this year. I swear!!!

I have no idea why your magnet didn't stick, Rick. Mine works. We have 300 of them left, so come back with the old one & we'll replace it.

We are working on the ocean thing. I made a few calls.

Anything else?

Well, You didn't match the maroon on mine close enough. You need to add some beadlocks as well. If you can make those changes then it will be a pretty good likeness.

In all seriousness as usual with all of your art it looks great.

Are you guys trying to print it out on a full 8.5X11 sheet of paper. That picture is only 263X352 pixles and that isn't big enough for a full sheet, so itgets blurry when you enlarge it.

Hey Joe...........you already blew this event off because you had something "more imprtant to do" so keep your heckling to yourself, besides if you read what Thom wrote you will see that it is a 1/4 page flyer.

Go pick out some wedding invitations or interview florists, this here is mans work.

I mean that all in a good way with lots of love and glad tidings for you and your prospective Bride............best wishes.

Be sure to get up here early enough to make Fridays trail run. You can go with Tom's group and heckle him all day. (Assuming he plans to lead a group again this year which I haven't verified yet)

Thom, how soon will you need me to get a post up on the trail run? Having the sign up list worked out pretty well last year so I planned to emulate it this year. (Except to add that there will be a brief meeting at the trailhead for each group)

BTW, If you need someplace to put a larger flyer file for download let me know and I can put it on one of my servers like I did the Bandaid file. If so send me a PM if you don't still have my email address. Just try to keep it under a couple of megs if you email it to me.

Rick. I'm taking vacation the last week of June to camp in the Trask area. We should be able to go up trask road from the Tillamook side to get to the trails quicker. More later...........

Anything to make the trip up to the trails faster would be good. I assume this would end up somewhere near Firefox?

Thanks,
Rick

One route would be up Hembre lookout, to Firefox and down Rogers Road (NO relation).
The other would be longer, but go up towards Trask Mountain, Witches Tit and around Murphy Camp before heading down.

511 miles one way and then add a couple to get to Gresham so I am thinking I should be able to get that shirt delivered, to his door, for just under a grand........of course he still has to pay for the shirt so I am thinking that shirt will cost approximately $1,020.00 USD. Sounds like a good deal to me.

hats really would be cool. Let me see what I can do. We used to bring a dozen to SOB in case someone wanted one.

Meanwhile, I finished the full page flyer. It is a pdf file and is 2 pages (front/back). If you are interested in printing them out to hand out, e-mail me at thom@broncofix "dot" com and I will e-mail it to you. The file is under 800k.

SERWEEET. Now I get to change the background again. Can we do it again next month?
Hey Saddleup, maybe the reason the magnets dont stick to your dash is that there can only be up to 1/2" of BONDO before they get weak! :laughcry:

That may be it if I was trying to stick it up on the outside. I tried putting it on the brand new Tuffy Glovebox I won last year at SOB though. I certainly hope it doesn't have any bondo in it.

You're not thinking of coming to SOB for REST are you? Blister & chafe in private, but RESTING is grounds for public humiliation as Dan & I found out. Look for us on one of the SOB cd's trying to rest. It WONT happen again.
